Welcome to the Colorado International Taekwon-do website. We have three locations. Our headquarters are in Wheatridge, and our satellite schools are in Fort Collins as well as Denver, Colorado. The instructors of Colorado International Taekwon-do would like to welcome you to your new journey in the Original Taekwon-do system.
Master Roberto Roena, VII Dan
The president and vice-president of CIT have over sixty-five years of combined training in Taekwon-do. Master Roberto Carlos Roena and Dr. David Steffen have had the privilege to train under the founder of Taekwon-do; General Choi, Hong Hi (1918-2002). They have also personally trained under the founder's son, Master Choi, Jung Hwa. Colorado International Taekwon-do is currently affiliated with ITF Vienna. The current ITF president is Master Tran Treiu Quan.
CIT has developed numerous national and international champions. Mr. Bryce Hogle is a gold medalist who competed in the Jr. World Championships (2002) in Puerto Rico. Ms. Joan K. Patton is state and national competitor who won many championships in the 1970's and the 1980's. Mrs. Daniela Hogle is a national champion who is training for the world level of competition. Master Roena is the 1991 and 1992 former world Lightweight Champion in the WKA (World Kyuk Too Ki Association). This type of competition is bare knuckle full contact. Master Roena retired undefeated.
